Enlist your website on Asian Business Directory

From time to time, I am getting inquiries from the website. Customer inquires about our product and services via the contact form. When asked, where they found our website? Most answered they stumbled on our website via popular search engine such as Google, Yahoo or MSN. And, some customers answered they found website from a certain online directory.

Thus, I came to realize that some customers would rather go into an online directory and browse specific business category to look a company that offer product/services they are looking for. In other words, some customer still prefers the traditional yellow pages way of looking for suppliers. Only this time instead of those big yellow pages or directory, they are now scanning or browsing online business directories.

Now, have you enlist your business website to online directory? If not, I really suggest that you do. This will surely help in generating incoming traffic to your company website. There are a lot of online business directory. So, it’s better to choose a reputable one or it’s a wasted effort. Well, one website that you might want to have your business enlisted is at the Asian Business Directory. This is a good start if you’re targeting the Asian Markets.

Found my long lost friends at Friendster

Posted on January 10th, 2008 in Unsorted by Abby

I am amazed at how I was able to keep in touch with my long high school and college friends via Friendster. Imagine I have no contact numbers or whatsoever with them but I found them at Friendster. All I did was just type in their name at Friendster search box then viola, found most of them. As for the other people, I was able to get in touch with them by browsing the network of my friends.

After Friendster, there’s a lot of social networking sites e.g. multiply.com, facebook.com, linkedin.com and so much more. In fact, I tried to keep up by creating account with the several social networking sites to no avail I still prefer Friendster as most of my friends are already there.

I heard Friendster initially was for a dating site. But, the founders re-modeled the business of Friendster by making it the way it was now.

I am grateful to Friendster that up till now I was able to keep in touch with my friends. Hmm, I’d like to add that I found not only my friends at Friendster, but I was able to network with my cousins who are all over the world. It was indeed fun and sticky.

An interesting and engaging SEO write-up for HDB

Posted on January 8th, 2008 in Unsorted by Abby

I saw a very interesting SEO campaign for a real estate website. It was a SEO campaign for Singapore HDB Property.

I find the way the SEO consultant tagged the keywords interesting and engaging. The author unlike other SEO campaign was simply storytelling about his broker friend who serviced him before. And, he liked the way he was served by the broker so in return the author is doing this SEO campaign for HDB Property. HDB is in the business of real estate in Singapore. So for expat or Singaporean, you might want to check out the HDB site for your property requirements.

With this, I have come up with a few set of guidelines for myself. For my future write-ups, I will list down the keywords and construct paragraph around it. Of course, the keyword will be a link to a website to which I want the keyword be associated with.
It seems SEO is a mind-blowing activity. And, one need to have a clear mind map to be able to construct a paragraph with necessary keywords and not being obvious about the SEO objective.

I really admire the author at Futuregen who wrote that article for HDB it was a well constructed SEO campaign. Keep up the good work!
