Software for Internet Censorship

When talking about internet censorship, the first thing that comes to my mind is China. Seven years ago when I visited Guangzhou in China to attend Canton fair, I had a hard time accessing some websites in one of the Internet Workstation. That was when I heard about the government move in filtering information.

I think China can do that successfully even there’s a lot of criticisms because of their kind of government whereas other countries will have a hard time implementing such measures.

Though, I am still for internet censorship. There’s a need to filter out information for kids especially in their critical development stage. But this can be done, by manually installing a program to help filter out information. And, this can be achieved down to household level. At this point, implementing a censorship body for the whole internet is unachievable. As every second there’s new website and information spurting out. It’s a gigantic task to do, a mission impossible thing. Imagine an internet body will try to unplug thousands or more website because of internet censorship. It will surely raise a lot of criticisms, like freedom of speech. More, this will greatly affect a lot of business too – internet service providers.

Going back to taking the responsibility down to household level, a parent can download an internet filter program. One program that I know of is Cybersitter, this program helps filter out objectionable internet content.

Absolute Traders had it’s formal launching last June 5 at the PSE Auditorium, Ortigas Center. A lot of who’s who in the Stock Market graced the event. It was inspiring to see that what had planted 2 years ago by Fritz Aclan, Danny Go, Bonner Dytoc, Alcuin Papa and Arnold Diaz now bear its fruit. The group aims to educate Filipino Traders on investing the stock market using Technical Analysis.

To Allow or To Not Allow

What will you do if a regular customer request you to over-price the goods so he can bill his company? For instance, our service of audio transfer is only P200/CD. The customer was asked by his boss to transfer the cassette tape a total of 150 tapes to CD. We’ve given that customer a discount from P200/CD to P150/CD. Now, he asked us to place P200/CD on the official receipt.

Tech Person’s Fast Foward Presentation

Last Saturday, Dad was with me when I did a website presentation to a client. I was showing the client the pages we have done. The site is still in the developmental stage. That meeting was to give the client an idea of the site flow.

After the presentation, Dad immediately whisper to me that I talked to fast and showed the site too fast. The client might have not been able to follow me. I reflected on what Dad had told me. Yup, I realized that I talked to fast. Next time, I must do it slow and make sure the client had the time to grasp it.

UHmm, I’m not into politics. But, everytime I watch television and see Rep Chiz Escudero give interview. I’m at awe at how spontaneous he is in Tagalog / Filipino or English. Not only spontaneous but witty too. Plus, he really know what he is talking about.
