Speed Limit enforced at SCTEX

Last two weeks ago, I drove my mom’s car to our REALTORS® 48th National Convertion Held in Subic, Zambales via SCTEX (Subic-Clark-Tarlac Expressway). I guess I was immense with the scenery as I drove along SCTEX that I overlooked the Speed Limit signs that says Minimum 60mph and Maximum 100mph. So, we were stopped by some LTO officers near the Tollway Exit. They confiscated my licensed and told me that I was overspeeding averaging 132mph.
Geesh! I could not believe that I drove that fast. Normally, I would just go around 100mph. Anyway, they took my driver’s licensed and was advised to claim it at LTO office located City Compound, San Fernando, Pampanga.
I went back the week after with hubby. I was asked to pay Php30.00 for the seminar fee. An officer lectured us about SSCR (Safety, Speed, Courtesy and Right of Way) and reminders about being a driver. After the seminar, I was told to claim my license at another LTO office located at MAMPIS near Angeles, Pampanga.
I was able to get my driver’s licensed by paying a fine of Php578.00. Oh by the way, when I claimed my driver’s license I saw a black and white photo shot of my mom’s car in front showing the plate number and speed. Hmmm, this means when caught It’s going to be hard denying the act.
So next time, remember to watch your speed limits! And, wear your seatbelts too.
Lessons learned! =)
