Another Getting things done (GTD)

Now that I’m a REALTOR. I’m creating a new blog that focus on philippines real estate that are for sale / for lease.

Before that, I’m scouting for free wordpress theme. (hehehe). So, I’ve found this blog that compiled all free wordpress theme available. Check out - Emily Robbins 980+ free wordpress theme

Problem, I am too lazy to use ctrl+click to open the links to the theme and view them all. BTW, I’m using Mozilla firefox. So, I thought maybe there are extensions that I can use to quickly open all the links and display them in a tabs (tab browsing). Viola! I found one - Snap Links by Pedro FoncesaSnap Link

I could say, Whoah! Just whatI want. I just click the right-click and drag it against the link that I want to be open. Make my life easier.

Clearing Out my Inbox

Posted on January 27th, 2007 in Personal Productivity by Abby

Practicing my “Getting Things Done”, I am now clearing out my Mail Inbox. Everyday, I get about 200-500 emails from eGroups, friends and SPAM. (arrgh!) Right now, I’m clearing it and categorizing them by creating folders. I’m disciplining myself to check my emails only twice a day.

Today, I think my brain hang-up. I need a restart. I’m so slow today. There a tons of things to do. But I just can’t start working on them. Nothing is getting into my head. It’s like everything is bouncing. I can’t absorb anything.

So, I was advice to just relax and surf the web. Then, I stumbled a site - Dave Cheong’s blog that precisely and accurately describe everything. Coincidencely, he’s a Java Software Engineer and an Entrepreneur too.

From Dave Cheong’s blog, I got to several personal productivity blog. Like, D. Keith Robinson’s to-done.com, lifehack.org, lifehacker.com, Steve Pavlina, and David Allen - Getting Things Done.

Yup - that’s what I need to get things done. These blogs are reflections of their personal journey to getting things done.

Quest for a Car Spa

Posted on January 21st, 2007 in Rants and Rave by Abby

We don’t have someone to do the car wash for us. It’s either me or hubby. But we don’t have time or always have the excuse of not doing it. It will be weeks or even months before we wash the car. Yikes!

There are a lot of car wash or car spa around the city. But, I’m looking for an establishment where I can do my work while waiting. My ideal place would be - airconditioned resto/cafe to lounge with wi-fi and good car wash service. Last week, I finally found it. After a client’s meeting somewhere in Banawe, I passed by Genski Car Spa.

Genki Car Spa

They have serveral services from car body wash, engine wash, waxing, remove/install seat cover and many more. That afternoon, I tried their Package 1 - Car Wash, Tire Black and Vacum. It cost me P90.00. I find it cheap. Plus, they did a great job.

What I like about the place?

  • Tazza Cafe - where you can lounge and eat great food. (price range 150-250)
  • Zenseofjoy - a spa where you can have a relaxing massage. (price range (500-1000)
  • Airborne access - wi-fi!
  • Genki Car Spa - of course the car spa (price range 90-5000)

What I don’t like about the place?

  • no outlet for laptop :( - though you can request they’ll charge P50/hour
  • expensive food

Genski Car Spa
98 Ma. Clara St., Quezon City
